Community & Academic Partners
Partnerships in the community and with academic institutions are essential to the UW Master of Infrastructure Planning & Management program.
Community Partners
For their capstone project, many students gain valuable real-world experience by tackling an infrastructure-related issue for a partner in the community. Working closely with the partner, students define the issue, research the means to address it, and then document the recommended course of action. Learn more about the capstone project.
Academic Partners
Academic partners offer hands-on learning experiences to MIPM students through grant-funded projects. Faculty also serve as guest speakers and instructors.
Some of our academic partners:
- Institute for Hazard Mitigation Planning and Research — UW College of Built Environments
- Master of Cybersecurity and Leadership — UW Tacoma
- Urban Infrastructure Lab — UW Department of Urban Design & Planning
