Online Learning
The UW Master of Infrastructure Planning & Management program is designed with working professionals in mind. Because of the convenient online format, our program attracts students from all over the world, including Europe, Africa and South America.
How Online Courses Work
The MIPM program has a structured, asynchronous format, giving you the flexibility to do your coursework largely on your own schedule and at your own location.
From your computer, you’ll connect to an online learning management system called Canvas. This web-based software allows you to access course materials on demand and interact with faculty and fellow classmates in online forums at any time. Lectures are in a variety of formats, including podcasts and videos.
Most courses have regular weekly assignment deadlines, which are clearly indicated on a course calendar. You’re expected to keep up with all class discussions, lectures, readings and other assignments.
